This division is for the competition of all ranks of 5 to 7-year-olds and 8 to 12-year-old white through Green Belts.
Simulated sparring with each competitor having flags placed in his/her belt. The objective is to take the colored flags from the opponent while preventing your flags from being taken. Promotes an understanding of space and distance as well as speed and timing. This is a non-contact division with no safety equipment required. The division is set up as a sparring bracket. One 30-second round. The winner is determined by who has collected the most flags from the other competitor. Award placement for 1st, 2nd, and the two tied for 3rd. Only offered to all ranks ages 10 and under.
