This division is for the competition of 8-year-olds and up of all belt-rank divisions.
Two-person team division with a two-minute time limit. Competitors will execute the PMA grab and escape techniques. Each competitor must perform 3 different self-defense techniques and perform them two times each in a row, then move on to the next. Typically performed in a choreographed manner with role-playing with a partner. Partners must be in the same age and rank grouping. Only the competitor executing the self-defense techniques will be scored. Judges will watch all competitors perform and will score all competitors at the end. The order of competition will be determined by a random draw. Judging will be based on the six qualities of a champion. The scoring range is 9.90 to 9.99.
